Extended Families Australia is a not-for-profit incorporated organsiation that provides meaningful and lasting volunteer support to families and children/young people with a disability. Through the gift of friendship, our mission is to provide companionship, flexible support and practical assistance in their day-to-day lives. Our programs are suitable for families with a child or young person with a disability aged between 0 – 30 years of age. We facilitates positive connections within the community, seeking to widen social networks, promote inclusion, empower individuals and strengthen the bonds people have within their communities’. We breaks down barriers by changing social attitudes and creating positive opportunities for the individuals and families we support and our volunteers.
