For 30 Years Extended Families has been meeting the emotional and practical needs of children with a disability.  We need your help to continue these vital services and to grow to meet the needs of the 100 families currently on our waiting list who have asked for family support.  

As we are a small organisation with minimal overheads, be assured that the contribution you make will go directly to services to support the children and families we serve.

Although EFA receives some government funding, we rely on your generosity to operate efficiently and effectively. There are many ways in which you can give:

Sponsor a Child

It costs $2,000 per year to support a new child. This covers the cost of the assessment, volunteer recruitment and matching, training, reviews and meetings. You can choose to bring the gift of friendship to a child for a year and receive monthly updates as to how they are progressing. Sponsor a Child

Leave a Bequest

Every bequest that Extended Families receives helps us to expand our services and support more children with disabilities. Leave a gift in your will to Extended Families that will keep on giving into the future. Volunteer

We are constantly looking for volunteers and would love to speak to you about the families we have waiting for support. Remember, it only takes a minimum of 2 hours per fortnight to help a family. Volunteer Application Form

Become a member

For as little as $10 per annum you can become a member and support the efforts of Extended Families. You will:   receive invitations to Extended Families social events, fundraisers and       information sessions   receive our newsletter   support EFA and have the chance to influence service       delivery through voting rights in the Association and       representation on the Committee of Management.  Become a Member

Choose us as your Charity

Silent Auction

Help by donating goods or services for our annual Silent Auction. The auction raises funds to continue and expand needed services for children with disabilities. All donors will be recognised at the auction and on the website. Auction Donation Form
